An Unhappy Experience

My junior high school life has been full of both happy and challenging moments. I made many friends and gained a lot of knowledge. However, there was one unhappy experience that I will never forget. From this experience, I learned that true success comes from hard work and honesty.

In Grade 9, I didn't take English seriously, and my grades started to drop. I felt pressured to do well, especially because my parents had high expectations for me. One day, during an English exam, I decided to look at my classmate's paper to get the right answers. Unfortunately, my teacher caught me. To my surprise, she didn't scold me. Instead, she calmly asked me to stay after the exam. She said, "I believe you can do better."

Her words made me realize how wrong my actions were. From that moment, I decided to work harder and study English more. Now, English is one of my strongest subjects.

在九年级时，我没有认真对待英语，成绩开始下滑。我感到很大的压力，尤其是因为父母对我有很高的期望。一天，在英语考试中，我决定看同学的试卷来找正确答案。不幸的是，我被老师发现了。令我惊讶的是，她并没有责骂我，而是冷静地让我在考试后留下来。她对我说：“我相信你可以做得更好。”

她的话让我意识到自己的行为是多么错误。从那时起，我决定更加努力学习英语。现在，英语已经成为我最强的科目之一。
